Morning Peeps!!!

Its Friday morning and I can't wait for the weekend to begin because Little Mo breaks up from school toady and the easter holidays start! Next week I have Mo, Boo and Jake and I can't wait, it seems like so long since we all had some holiday fun and I love Aunty Duty having my niece and nephew here :)

So onto today's little share!! one of my lovely friends at work is having a little boy in June and asked me if I could make her a little book for her to start recording some memories in.

Then I extracted a little more info on what she wanted from Gabby :) and she said she fancied a union jack kinda theme with red, white and blue pages. I was rather excited about this idea and knew right away which little stamp I wanted to use! Baby blanket from LOTV is one of my oldie but goodie stamps and one of my first ever LOTV buys!! just look how super cute he is!!!! :)
I paper pieced my little baby blanket up a bit too. I stamped him on a scrap of the blue to get his blanket and then printed out a googled union jack flag for his hat! Love it!! I just stamped on the flag and cut it out.

I knew exactly what I wanted to do and hit my Funky Hand Craft the Year Away papercraft factory for my papers ( this way I have an endless supply of the same papers and if Gabby ever needs a few more pages I can click and print them right away :) yey!!! )
I made some union jack bunting and then my Tim Holtz chip block alphabet to add the word 'BABY'. I used my SU pennants punch to make them and I have to admit, I love it!! its too cute!! I added some thread and tied little knots to each top corner of each pennant, then a little red button to each end and attached it with my hot glue gun.

And here's a piccy of the front of the book with its protective cover on. I cut a clear cover for it from some clear acetate. One for the front and one for the back too just to protect it a bit. I also stamped a little baby sentiment onto a tag as a little extra pressie from me :) I love this sentiment. The light kept bouncing back off it a bit but it gives you an idea of the cover to protect it anyway :)
The cover bases are made with a thin chipboard my friend Shirley sent me from america a while ago, its fantastic stuff! it was just going to be thrown away so I am so pleased Shirley rescued it!!!

The challenges I am entering with this jubilee baby book are .....

Right, off to get myself ready for work and hope for a quick day :) :)
Thank you for popping in on me
huge hugs Lou xxx
