Afternoon peeps!!

How are you all? I hope you are all ready and fired up for the new year, I am going to wish you all an uber duber happy new year. We don't really bother with it all in our house but this year Mo asked what it was so we told him we will wake him up at 11:45pm to see the new year in...chances are he will just stay asleep and mumble something but we are still going try to get him up and have a little warm milk and chocklit snack with him to celebrate!!

I saw an image a few days ago that so reminded me of Mo Manning's Big Girl Pants image that I just had to print her out and have a play with her. I have a friend going through a really tough time at the minute so went for a good old 'cheer you up' and I'm thinking of you card. I absolutely adore how this turned out.

I hope it raises a smile when she gets it! its just such a lovely image for a cheer you up 'cos you're feeling pants card!!

Right, must dasheroo! I have a washing machine full of clean laundry to hang out on the airer...way too cold for outside drying here!! and another load to get in...which will mean a mountain of ironing for this afternoons job! I don't mind at all though, I love ironing!

Huge hugs and Happy new year!

Forgotten Funkies...Winter Wedding...

Good Morning everyone!!!

Its the time of month again for our 'Forgotten Funkies showcase!!! and each month our fabulous Funkettes will be over on our blog showing off some new makes with our older downloads and CD Roms.

Today's showcase is centred all around the gorgeously funky and fabulously festive Winter Wedding Download. Just look at this amazing collection of different backing papers and two wordbooks  included.

There is nothing like a beautiful winter wedding. We have created this craft backing paper collection in chilly colours to reflect the brilliance of this season. The Winter Wedding craft backing paper download has the cool colours dark blue, mid blue, pale blue, blue white and lilac as it's design palette to evoke the feeling of that season. All the backing papers work perfectly together and as well as using them for creating Wedding or anniversary cards they can be very easily used for lots of other craft projects and handmade cards. These backing papers are very versatile and we are sure they will be on the top of the mat in your crafting space regularly. Why not download them? You 'snow' you want to! Take a look at the gallery to see the different card designs the Funky Hand Design Team created using this collection in the gallery over in the shop and some more recent makes below....

this download is most definitely too good to be forgotten!!!

Winter Wedding

Oh and don't forget!!! ALL the Funky Hand CDs are still priced at just £1.00 each over on the website www.funkyhand.com

I went for a christmassy make with mine for my little brother and made a 'manly' fires box to pop his christmas pressie in!! here it is all empty so you an see those yummy papers at work!!

All I needed to do was add a yummy wooden snowflake to the little circle part at the front.
I really do love a download with versatility that can swing from weddings to man makes!!!

Right, I am off to enjoy boxing day!! we are popping to Scott's parents for lunch and then home again. Little Mo is much better after being quite poorly from 1:50am yesterday morning, he has a nice little bit of colour popping back into his cheeks and though he is still complaining of a headache he doesn't look half as dozey today!!!

Super Day!!!

Image- Super Day from Mo's Digital Pencil.
Dies- Die-Namics Blueprints 9.

Merry Christmas morning gorgeous people!!!

I am so so very excited today as I got one of my christmas presents early a couple of weeks ago and I cannot tell you how hard I have been sitting on my hands not to blurtle the news out. I am so excited and uber honoured to be joining the DP2 challenge blog team!! oh my oh my oh my!! eeeeeeeeeeeeeep and squeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!

So for my first challenge joining the girls as a DT member ( more eeeeep and squeeee!!!) I had to pick my favourite Mo's Digital Pencil creation of the year.

Well, that one was easy. My gorgeous friend Alyce challenged me to do a make with some uber not me colours a little while ago. My heart almost stopped when she showed me the colours (...and there was lots of sweary about Alyce words muttered under my breath as I picked the pens out of my pen rack!!) but once I had started I absolutely enjoyed every minute. Stepping out of the comfortable colour tones zone was sooo much fun in the end that I felt really rather accomplished!!

So, that's my super duper exciting news. I must say a huge thank you to Mo and Pat for wanting me to come play with them, I am still pinching myself and very much looking forward to getting stuck in with each challenge...there are some awesome ones coming up peeps ;)

So, its onto the fun of christmas for me! I don't do the whole stressy christmas thing, we have fun...all day.

This year I am doing slow cooked pulled pork and cranberry sauce wraps, yum!!!! its a wonderfully stress free and fun dinner! then we have piggies in blankets and stuffing balls to go with it!

Don't forget to pop in and see what my new teamies chose as their makes...I've seen them..they are all dreamy!!!

Shepherd Boy...

Image- Shepherd Boy from Saturated Canary.

Morning everyone!

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep! its christmas eve!! there's only one more sleep until we can all celebrate jesus' birthday and I can't wait. Its such a magical day, our house is always full of family bubble time and love, along with the delicious smell of food cooking away.

The Saturated Canary DT girls are sharing a little post with some stunneroonie makes today to say merry christmas to you all so I wanted to share my little shepherd boy make.

He is just so adorable and uber fun to work with as that happy little face just makes you smile every time you look down on it.

Right, time for me to pootle off and get a cup of tea. Little Mo and I have dogs to plod before we can snuggle down for a movie morning and wait for Scott to get home from work! then we are off out for a christmas eve restaurant tea and an early night in time for the fun of christmas day.

huge hugs for you all

Santa Louis...

Stamp- Santa Louis.
Hi everyone!!

I am a squidge later than normal today..bad me! lol!! I didn't get my little tag quite finished before I went to work last night and then when I got home at 7:10am this morning I had to rush straight up to get a quick nap in as its holiday time and little Mo is not at school (....today is mostly being sponsored by espresso...!!!!).

In between being taught how to play Minecraft, making cinder toffee and playing with the dogs I have finally managed to get a piccy taken and write a bloggy post!!

Oh my...I am so in love with this little Stamping bella stamp. Mo Manning always knows howto capture magic in her stamps and this one just reminded me so much of my little guy and our 2 dogs that I just had to pop it in my shopping cart!

I cut the tag and stamped him just a little off to the side to get the nose of the pooch in, its too cute to miss out!!

The little stars are cut out with the off cuts of my Basic Grey Aspen paper from last week, there were a couple of oddments just sitting near my ebosser when I went to cut the stars out and I decided the blue tones would match his little dungarees.

I can't wait to get Little Mo's christmas present wrapped and pop his tag on, he will love it!

Right, time for more coffee....I look like a zombie today...I am going to take really good notice of the Minecraft playing going on by laying on the settee next to Mo...its purely just to watch and learn...no snoozing will be happening after 2 seconds......bwah ha ha ha!!!

Dare to make your teenage son a christmas card....!!!

Image- Dare from Mo's Digital pencil.
Hi everyone!!

phewh! I am not actually sure where this week went!! lol! but with Mo's birthday and my mum having another operation on her back it seems to of swooshed away with me!!

But, all is not bad as I did get time to sit down and make my big boys christmas card today. Christmas cards for cool 14 yr olds are tough so I decided to go all out cool!!

I grabbed Dare from Mo's Digital Pencil and settled in for some colouring and cool paper fun. All I really needed to do was add a few cool cogs (...I don't know why, the papers just called cogs to me!!!)

And I even got some time with him this afternoon and he came with me to pick Mo up from school which was a wonderful surprise for Mo and he was so pleased to see his big bro!!

The end of term has come just on time as Mo is absolutely shattered, as I type he is falling asleep on the settee with Dasher, watching 'A Monster in Paris' so I am going to go run a nice warm bath and get him snuggled down for a good nights sleep!!

Huge hugs to you all

Snow Day....

(snowflake Kraft a retired Pink petticoat paper)
Morning everyone!!

I hope you are all waking up to a terrific tuesday! we are here! its Mo's 10th birthday and we have been awake since 2:30am...romfl!!!!! I did manage to get one excited little man back to sleep for a couple more hours but by 4:45am the excitement was just too much and we got up!! lol!!

I'll pop a couple of piccies of his cake on in a minute but first I need to waffle on some about this card!! eeeeep! I love this little image! its such a cute one and I was in a card with pop kinda mood so I went for a stepper one. They are simple but really effective cards to make and I love how they turn out.

..and onto the little guy's cake!! oooh I had fun with this one!! I am not a great cakey baker at all but I do adore making my family their birthday cakes instead of buying one, it just feels more special.

I had to go for a Lego's theme this year, Mo LOVES his Lego's so I bought a couple of molds from ebay and got busy melting candy melts for little men and lego bricks, then for the grey board looking icing I got ready roll icing in grey and sqooshed it over the bottom of one of Mo's grey lego baseboards.

I am very proud of my little '10' scene...I maked that all by myself!! romfl!!!!!!!!

Right, I had better get a wriggle on. School run time is creeping up and I need to get my hair brushed and look like I haven't been awake for hours and could actually do with zonking back out to sleep!!!!

Thank you for popping in on me
huge hugs Lou xx

pop out christmas cuteness!!

Image- Fairy Christmas from mo's digital Pencil.
Lori Whitlock Pop out book card from the Sil Store.

Morning all!

brrrrrrrrrrrrr! its a chilly one out there today!! I have got the heating on and am considering a good old hot wheaty bag as I am still defrosting from dog walking! I have another one to go yet today before Scott and I pootle off to Mo's school carol concert and nativity. I cannot believe the end of term is next week?! its gone so fast but boy oh boy do I love this time of year.

This little make from me today is my little brother and family christmas card. I am always sooo late with my christmas cards, I never start them fully on time!! I promise myself every year I will get better at it but...noooooooooooooooo!! still late!!

But I loved this pop out book card from Lori Whitlock and had to get it into action!!

I love this pop out inside, its perfect for showing that special person your verse. I have seen other people pop images on the inside so I am going to give that a go later too, but maybe not today as I am working tonight so need to try and squeeze in a snoozle!!

Right, off to make a cuppa and maybe have a nice hot bath too, I love daytime baths in the winter time and the furry royalties are fast asleep on the settee so a bit of me time might be in order!!

Huge hugs for you all

Its a bit of a cheaty double post from me again today as I have 2 Dt posts to do in one day and I want to combine them both as its 2 lusheroonie challenges!! he he he!!! ...plus y'all would get so bored of seeing me post more!!! so here goes.....

So, its time for another fun challenge over on the Tiddly inks challenge blog and this time we want to see you get your crafty thing going and the next challenge is...

Winter Blues

Grab your favourite Tiddly Inks Fairy stamp or digital image and think along the lines of..
any shades of blues papers/ embellies, colouring mediums in blues,
 festive happiness and fun!!
(**remember...We love to see any new creation, a card, 3D project, journal page etc
but you must use a Tiddly Inks stamp or image to be eligible for the prize**)

Over on the Passion for Promarkers challenge blog we are launching our very special Mega Christmas challenge which runs for a whole month and ends on 6th January 2015. You will need to pop over to the challenge blog to peek at them! its a BIG list!!

Our theme for the Mega Christmas challenge is “bingo”.  You are welcome to make Christmas cards but as the challenge will still be running after the ‘BIG’ day you can of course make any type of creation as long as you use the bingo board.  As time is precious for our DT at this time of year we are limiting the number of entries you can make to just 3 for this month long challenge.  Please remember to be eligible for our prizes you must use your promarkers, flex markers, tria markers, metallic or aqua markers.

Here is the bingo board you must use for your creations (you can use any line horizontal, vertical or diagonal).  Please tell us which line you have used in your post:

Bingo2

I chose the ' Buttons / Lace / Blooms ' row on the Passion for Promarkers bingo grid and the ever so cute and gorgeous Christmas Cutie Emma to make my Winter Blues card.

I cannot tell you how much I enjoy Bingo grid challenges, they are just the best inspiration givers for making a card (I even saved this one as soon as Denise posted it for future use!!! he he he!!!).

I made my own flowers using the off cuts from my card base and some of my favourite ever flower dies, Die Namics Mini Royal Roses and Die-namics rolled daisy. They are the most fabulous dies, you can make them as tight or floopy as you wish, i go for medium so they fan out all pretty. And then theres those Impression Obsession Heart stems, well, they are just a perfect addition for any card or make, they are stunning.

Phewsh! what a long post!!!! romfl!!! but a cute card for you to peek at in return for \lou waffles! and for those wondering how my little furballs are taking to each other, this photo sums it up perfectly....
awwwwwwwwwwwww!!!

Morning everyone!

It is with uber duber sad Lou face that I am blogging my last make for the Creative Romance challenge bog today. Our Final challenge is a nice open.....

We are so proud of her, she has been just amazing with him. She is currently trying to teach him how to play with a ball, its so sweet, she keeps throwing it up for him and showing him how to catch it and then plopping it down in front of him to how him what to do!!! what a clever girl!!
